League History
Durham Roller Derby was formed in February of 2014 by 9 like-minded skaters, and played our first game mere months later!
Since then we have grown substantially in size – all of our members strive to absorb everything Roller Derby, and to do so they regularly attend boot-camps, mixed scrims and anything else skate related.
We hold annual Tryouts and are constantly growing and developing our League.
We have been part of the British Roller Derby Championships since 2016 in Tier 4 Women (North) Division. In 2016 we came bottom of the table after a really difficult season due to injury. But not to be beaten we came back for 2017 and smashed our way into 4th place - this year we’re looking to better our rankings again...
After gaining UKRDA affiliation in our 2018 season we are looking to grow our league even further - do you want to be part of it?
